Calvary UMC's Vacation Bible School (VBS) will be held on June 15th, 16th, and 17th from 6:30pm until 8pm. The theme this summer is "Fire Fighters". Pastor Paul will lead the adult class in "Fire Revival".
- First night is all about "Fire Danger". Our bible story is on the rich man and Lazarus. We will learn the fire triangle (what causes fire to start and what causes sin to erupt). We will also learn to Stop, Drop, and Pray. We will be asking the Milford Fire Company to send a member to go over the stop, drop and roll with the children as well.
- Second night is "Fireproof Yourself". Daniel's faith kept him safe in the Fiery Furnace. We will ask the fireman to bring turnout gear for the kids to put on to be prepared and to discuss need for smoke detectors.
- Third night is "Take The Fire With You". Pentecost will be our theme for the night. We will have our annual water balloon fight and will ask the fireman to bring a piece of equipment for the children to explore.
We need drama volunteers for the story each night, teachers, snacks, game coordinators, craft helpers, and registrars. We will be grateful to anyone who can help all three nights, one night or just one hour. WE ALSO NEED FOR EACH OF YOU TO COME TO VBS AND BRING SOMEONE WITH YOU CHILD OR ADULT! Please contact Sandy Gulledge (firstname.lastname@example.org
) if you are able to assist with our wonderful VBS program this summer. Thank you!

Commemorative plates are now on sale for $20. The plates feature an image of Calvary United Methodist Church as it was originally, and on the reverse side there is an image of Calvary as it stands today. The plates are really quite stunning, and would look beautiful on your mantle. Please contact Bonnie Watford or the church office to place your order.
